Features:The cave Arachnoid comes in two colors, brown with a green shell and dark purple. The brown ones are the males of the species and the purple are the females. The males tend to be smaller and less aggressive then the females, they pretty much cater to the females to avoid being eaten or killed by them. The antennas they have are much like a moth's, picking up vibrations. They have long muscled tails that have a stinger on the back and its used much like a scorpion though only females are posionouse. Along the underbelly of both genders is a row of 4 legs on each side that curl up under them. this is used to drag or carry different items back to their nests. under their shiney hard shell they have 4 wings mosly used for glideing off trees or cliffs.

Hunting patterns: The males do the most hunting and usually travel in groups of 3 or 5, they like to hide in cool damp places so they are often found hunting in the mountains are the marsh lands. They rarely leave the mountains or forest so an attack by one close to the cities or shore is very unusual and has been seen as an ill omen that something such as starvation or drought is comeing. Whether it actually means anything still isnt 100% accurate. The cave Arachnoids mostly hunt game thats smaller then they are though if in enough numbers the have been known to eat both Marsh Stalkers and Striders.

Other:They are a type of creature that lives in a colony, ruled by one female matriarch which is usually the biggest and strongest female. She is usually the only female in the colony allowed to breed. They lay up to 10-20 eggs once a year, during the time after the eggs hatch the colony all pitch in to care for the hatchlings until they are big enough to join the adults. These creatures do spin web which comes from a gland inside the mouth on the sides, they are extremly fast creatures and masters of stealth and ambush attacks. Their webs if enough gathered can be as strong as the best armor you can buy but it can also be used for clothes and fabrics because of its silky texture. Its best to collect the webs when the cave Arachnoids move dens for the season. As said before the females are posionouse with their stinger. If injected with their poison it will shut down all vital organs and start breaking down the body makeing it easier to feed the hatchlings.
